Dunstall centerstand and Pitbull

So has anyone running a Dunstall centerstand tried one of these Pitbull stands? Losing my patience with the lack of rear wheel access.

I don't have a centerstand, but I do use a Pitbull stand every day. There are the swingarm types, but they drive me nuts and are not sturdy. I put a couple of spools on the shock bolts and can access the rear wheel without any problem. Pitbull doesn't sell a stand specifically for Nortons and their "off the shelf" stands won't be tall enough for use with 18" or 19" wheels, but you can get the option with adjustable height sides and it works perfectly.

I bought a PitBull stand for my Mk3 one year ago and posted the results with photos:

My experience is a bit different than Kenny's, although I'm sure I use it less frequently than he does. My stand picks the rear of the bike up via the swingarm. It's easy to use single-handed and quite steady. PitBull built the stand off of their "narrow" model; the whole process took 10 days or so to get the stand in my shop. Works great on my Victor as well, as the stand pick-up width is adjustable.

Kenny, could you show a close-up of the stand at the pick-up spools? Do you have a source for the spools?

Thanks for the input. My concern lies with the Dunstall centerstand as it pushes all weight to the rear. I'm wondering if a swingarm model would provide enough lift. Making any sense here?

I do not like a center stand attached to my bike.
I asked them to make me a stand for my Commando that picks up the rear from attaching large bolts on the bottom of the shocks.

They did, and I like it and use it a lot. I see no reason why it would not work with your muffler setup, unless of course your mufflers are set much so very close to the shocks that it cannot be made to fit. Doubt that to be so.

Guess i need to eyeball this thing and see where and what is the best point of contact for a stand.Thanks all.
