I found a old Dunstall Center Stand & the mounting plates to fit with the 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust systems for a friend who needed it to be able to start his bike. I never used one myself and am wondering if anyone has, can you tell me are they strong enough to allow him to start his bike on? It seems like a fairly weak thing. It's this or he goes to a regular exhaust / stand system. Also I am thinking of having some copies made of it if there is any interest from owners wanting to buy a set of plates and a new stand. I think I will post that in the Wanted / For sale area to see if there is any interest. Let me know if you want one. Glenn.

I don't think it is either strong enough or stable enough to try starting it on that stand.

Stong yes. Stable no. It's narrow on the ground so I'll start from the side when cold and I want an idle. When warm I take it off the stand. Worst part of whole setup, and I currently am running it, is the back wheel doesn't come off the ground for maintenance. The mounting plates push the stand forward and all the weight goes to the rear. There's pros and cons to this whole setup. I keep it on because it looks good
sounds like nothing else. The rest of the crap I deal with, for now.

Should mention too, the plates mount to the engine via through bolts and to the front iso the same way. So you're not hooking up to the cradle. Just fyi.
