Hi. Im beginning to service my Dunstall Twin Disc calipers. Does anyone know of a parts list for the assy.?
I will probably need pads, O rings, and some info on how to remove the pistons. I found some new End Caps on ebay at $300 plus freight but that seems really excessive. Maybe not due to supply demand but I would love some ideas from anyone thanks.

Cheer Hillbone.

Unless someone has started reproducing disc pads, they are unobtainable, but you can make them from standard Lockheed pads, needs machining down here and there.

I have a friend who has the o ring sizes. When racing we cut down Lockheed pads. Take care getting the piston out they are notorious for hauling & ruining the casting.

Thanks. Can I get the oring sizes please?
Cheers from australia

Hi hillbone
A grease gun is best, far gentler. An airline will bang it out. Be careful.

If I remember Ron Fraturelli told me there are 2 different size seals and different pistons.
I think I made some new pistons and put them away for my own overhaul at some stage.

The seals are not a standard size. They were custom made by Dunstall (who knows why).

In my 30 years of owning one of these, Ron Fraturelli (the guy you bought the caps from) is the only guy who makes parts for these brakes.

He makes a different set of pistons that can use a standard size seal. He also makes pads. I'd guess the Porterfield can also make pads.

I know this thread is a year old but I am wondering if anyone has a source for the tapered seals for Dunstall brake calipers.
I have a 72/74 roadster that I purchased from Ron Fraturelli last year that is in dire need of caliper seals.
Or is there a replacement o ring that works?

I've used Parker Hannifin EPDM o-rings. They work well if the bore is in good shape. Part number E0603 2-123 (piston seal) and E0603 2-026 (end plug seal. Not sure of dimensions, I just have two bags of 50 and 100 my machinist ordered for me, when he made me new pistons.

Thank you so much. I’ll try to order some.
