Apologies if this is, as the title suggests, a really dumb question but I'm an absolute novice with hydraulics. I'm fitting madass's Tokiko brake upgrade; there are 4 threaded joints in the hydraulic line: one at each end of the flexible hose and the steel pipe. What, if anything, should I use on the threads - grease, teflon tape, Loc-tite??? Or should they just be spannered up tight(ish)?

a little lubricant on the threads to stop rusting is all if anything, nothing really needed.

I supply Dowty seals with my brake systems, no copper washers.

Most dowty washers I see are nitrile and is not recommended with brake fluid.

What is the material in the ones you supply? EPDM?
