Oil filter will not do a thing to protect oil pump or piston skirts or cam lobes or fiction wear.
If you're willing to go with a 7Ah battery, then there's room under the seat for a stock unit. It's easy to get a hold of and it's cleaner up there. I had to remove the the toolkit pocket thing, but the sidecover fits ok.Unclviny said:I have been going back and forth on the "filter-thing", the filter set-up HAS to look-good and the standard-setup just does not. I am thinking HARD about a Trident-filter (but ideally I want one with a Stainless-Steel case and Aeroquip-fittings), does anybody make a filter-setup that is "pretty" (race-stuff qualifies as long as it looks good).

Note: I don't know what I am talking about, just googled and read a bunch of experts comments on internet forums!
