Dual Mikuni VM34 Jetting

How long do you run on your choke. I start mine on the choke, then take it off straight way and keep the bike running on the throttle. So, it is running on the choke for only 1-2 seconds. I ride off straight away at about 2500rpm. It idles on its own, even in winter, after 600yds (the junction at the end of my lane!).

I have a single mikuni on the Atlas. When cold I turn in the Idle adjuster screw about one full turn for a fast idle and put on the choke. As soon as it starts I'm trying to release the choke. The second it can stay running on its own the choke is off. While it's running on the fast idle (about 1800 rpm) I put on a jacket and helmet then lower the idle as far as I can go and take off. In about 3 blocks I have to turn down the idle again.
