The fork's sliders have a "small" problem.
From the base where are fixed the forks damper tubes both sliders lose a drop of oil.
Yet the two "damper tube anchor bolts whasher" and the two "fibres" are new.
The screws are fully tightened.
What should I do????
Ciao

Put a can under it to catch the drips, and go on with life.

Are the bolts possibly too long, not allowing full tightening, try adding a second or thicker washer. I have run into this on some of my forks.

Hi and thanks.
The second washer goes into the slider or out on the screw?
Piero

out on the screw, It goes from bottom up:

Bolt
steel washer
fork leg
fiber washer
damper tube

Is this a new thing? Has it been oil free in the past? Have you done any thing to the forks recently?

Remove the bolt and washer and put another fibre washer in, then the steel original washer and replace the bolt, should do the trick.

Loctite 518 as an EASILY removal gasket dressing finishes the sealing job that fiber washers/gaskets never quite completed.

That's what I was thinking. Or some teflon paste or tape (plumber's dope) on the bolt threads.

The bottom of the damper tube has a blind hole, the threads have no oil sealing capability. The flat fiber washer on the bottom of the damper tube against the inner surface of the fork slider. No crumbs or sludgy stuff left behind when you cleaned it? The bolt tightened properly? (damper tube didn't spin?)

I'll try to squeeze more strong and I will let you know!
If it continues to lose have to intervene with oil changes by you onsigliate.
Thank you.
