Hi all,
ive read up on this subject but seen no positve conclusions that I understand.
Has anyone got first hand experience of having them resleeved & what it cost ?. Ive just taken wheel off & dampers + springs out & there is a lot of play & they are tight in places. They are the original 40 year old sliders.
I live in UK so its needs to be a UK service. Once done I am buying a set of Lansdown dampers.
Hopehully after that it might be better than new.
No point putting lansdown dampers in wirn forks.
Any replies welcome, Cheers all

Thanks Donald, In my assesment the steel re-sleeve kit is better than new, instead of a iron /steel bush sliding in a alloy bore, a bronze bush slides in a precise 1mm wall steel bore, Super bonded .The original top bush is retained with a be-spoke bronze lower..i have produced about 10 sets...i can provide a service fitting free, £70 plus postage for a pair. When done the slider slides smooth and play free . Address on my web www.lansdowne-engineering.com

John, do you do a shorter steel sleeve for the longer top bushes now available?

Donald.
Yes a shorter sleeve is available, the sleeves are tricky to produce, as you can imagin 1mm wall can vibrate .. and they need to be concentric .. I turn them to plus .02 mm and then get them ground.
