Hey guys, Just a quick warning. Do not purchase the cheap Chinese Halogen replacement headlamps for an 850 Commando. The one I purchased was a piece of %$#(*&^%$#. When installed it the low beam did not work at all. I checked my voltages to the low beam circuit and it was fine. I then decided to disassemble the KLUGED Chinese mount and take a look-see inside the metal housing. The bulb was purchased several months ago from MAP and I dought they would refund my money ssince I took so long to install and test it. Anyway the 2 leads from one side of the filament are in common to ground and the other two solder to the contact pads. The leads from the grounds were cheaply and horribly tacked together with wwhat was a very poor attempt to mini spot weld. Looked like they did it with the amperage of a 9 volt battery and the connection failed immediatly. The two wires that were soldeded to the pads wouldn't even tin and I am an excellent solderrerrrrerrrre. Cold solder joints. Anyway if you purchase one of these and intend to use it make sure you have a nice jar of pissed off fireflies to make your way thru the dark.
