Do you recognize this front drum brake?

Part of the uglification of a Commando I will bring back to its former glory. Not sure what brake this is and cannot find external markings on the brake itself. Will be digging into this bike some time next winter.

Is that a plugged speedo drive behind the front fender stay, and possibly a brake lug hiding behind the rear stay? I'm guessing there is a brake lug that attaches to a fork leg. Does it look normal where it attaches? 36 spoke hub? I don't think the brake lever on the hub matches the hub. Looks like it's wider than the splines and the cable end is too small for it.

A reversed Japanese (36 spoke) drum brake by the look of it.
The brake lever is Tomaselli (or replica).

It looks very much like a Yamaha RT2 brake to me, but appears to have some “scoops” on the backing plate which may rule that out.

That someone would put that brake on a Commando is a bit scary- I replaced the front wheel on my RT2 in order to get rid of the standard brake as it was not powerful enough for a 360cc enduro with a maximum road speed of perhaps 70.

Thanks to all, so I am not sitting on a gold mine then ;). If anyone can use this drum let me know I will probably give it away.

I have a front brake whch I can give you. It crashed me four times in one day, when I was young and incompetent.
