Have searched but no luck on a match. I purchased a belt drive kit for a good price but cannot identify the maker. If it looks familiar to you, would you let me know who may have made it so I can begin gathering additional information? Thank you!

Using a Korean bearing, and belt is incorrect Synchroflex 862 AT 10/1000 (32mm wide; 100 tooth). Also wondering what the correct belt would be for our Nortons if you know this.

I have not looked at my belt in awhile but it kinda looks like a RGM, But I don't remember the weld on the clutch center?

RGM with Dominator mainshaft clutch centre.

Specifically commando clutch center with welded in washer. RGM could be?
How good?... disappointed: http://atlanticgreen.com/naclueng.htm
even with a reworked clutch center it was not acceptable for me.
I've got one to sell.

1000mm is close for a featherbed not commando
Mine worked out to 980mm and my RGM AT10 pulley/drum might be different # teeth than yours.

The RGM for my Commando needed a little fettling before it worked right. But since then it's been fine.

Hi dub
Machine of the washer the clutch hub is for a Dommie . See where it sits against the circlip & cover you need to check alignment i.e. spacers.
Have used 2 Rgm belt drives. Both have been good.

Chris - do you mean to say that I should machine the washer in a lathe? That a correction can be made to make it work for a Commando ? Is a possible fix as "easy" as pressing the current welded clutch center hub and using instead my current Commando center hub as a press fit into the RGM clutch basket?

Huge thanks, trying to understand if this kit is not going to work for a Commando outright, and that I should shelve that plan and stick with triplex.

so was this represented as a Norton commando Kit? the discussion is now so convoluted that i'm not sure of what you are intending to use it for or if in fact it is even intended for a commando.

Me thinks the savings in $ may not be worth the aggravation to get it to fit and run true...?

Yes you can press out that center and fit your commando one instead .

Yes, the intent is to run this on a Commando, and yes I do not know quite what I am looking at. The entire kit came to me unexpectedly and I know I am leaning very hard on the combined wisdom of the group to serve my own interests here, and do apologize for not bringing anything to the discussion.

That said I do think everyone has provided enough information for me to get off my a$$ and figure this out for myself! I really appreciate all of you towing me along and dealing with my ignorance.

EDIT: Yes, this was sold with the understanding it was 100% for a Commando. But when I laid the belt against the mounted rotor / basket and noted it was WAY too long I started to have doubts. On a side note, this came with a nifty alum. riveted lightweight outer cover with open holes and full air flow.

Hi dub

Yep circlip off press out fit your original centre. With a new centre costing so much the RGM one is salvageable. I run mine in the original cases. Look on RGMMOTORS ie number of teeth & belt size.
