I took the Mikuni off the 850 today...first bad sign was smelly old gas pouring out the overflows.
The slide was stuck in the chamber...once I got it out is was tan in color and so was the bore. I wondered why the twist grip didn't turn :shock:
It's black and gummy inside. Pushed the choke and it stuck. Floats are frozen solid to the posts. Needle doesn't move in the seat. Can't get the pin out to get at the needle and seat. Wow! I've seen dirty carbs but this one is really bad. It's out in the carb cleaner tub soaking.
