When I bought my bike it had a horn/ dip switch which looked like the miller reproductions that are available now. It was pretty cruddy; and I replaced it with a Ducon. That has turned out to be pretty crappy; it won't switch between full beam and dip properly; or hold the selection, and using the horn is a lottery. I have checked the connections to the main harness and am confident that the issue is the switch, not the circuit. I have also attacked the switch with a screwdriver and tried bending the copper part that creates the circuit for the horn. What experience have others had with Ducon, and other switches? I need to replace it, ideally within a week which limits me to local NZ suppliers.

One option is a Millar reproduction which apparently bolts directly to the clutch lever; looking at the photo for this I can't figure out how that works- is it for a special lever? If not it might be a good option.

I have a Sparx left hand MkIII type that made it posible to add the aftermarket master cylinder which handles only the brake switch.

The left hand sparx unit does every thing else, hi/lo beam, horn, dip, and the lamp switch is on the skell.

Anyhow, all my function were rather iffy and, as you say, a lottery until I hit them with some lube like WD40. After that they have been as good as any.
