Hello Stephan,

Not sure if they are of any use to you, but RGM list a few switches that look similar?, if you go onto their website, shop, electrical components, switches and hardware, on the third page are some switches that might suffice?, no idea as to quality though, there is a Wipac replica Tricon handlebar switch for early Commando's, part number WW10129, would this one be the inner workings of you're switch, without the chrome cover?, here is a link to the web-page, http://www.rgmnorton.co.uk/dept/switche ... d03119.htm, hope it helps,

John

Where can I buy a good quality replacement horn-headlight switch for my 1968 Commando?

A new replacment original switch assembly may prove to be a difficult item to find.

As far as I know, nobody is currently making a pattern copy of the original Commando "Triconsul" switch assembly, only the "Ducon" or "Tricon" switches which do not have the same switch functions as the Triconsul (unless they've been modified?). A Tricon's magneto cut-out button could be adapted to operate as the headlamp flasher button with an additional relay.

You could try sending a PM to member "Ron L" (if he doesn't post a reply)? He might be able to help.

The currently available switches are OK, but I understand that the originals can be easily spotted due to the horn push (?) being green, rather than the currently available red.

Maybe someone with a 3D printer could 'rustle' some up?

I just got a set of switches from eurotrash, complete set for both clutch and brake side, he also has individual switches

all very close to the original black/grey color

Yes, but a '68 model had a Wipac Triconsul switch assembly.

Ron L probably has some. I got mine from him, the one LAB is showing is my broken one. I had a good harness, so I switched harnesses and sent Ron my switch and his harness back.

I would be interested as well for my 1969 Commando. The original switch on mine is shot, and its fitted with a generic aftermarket switch.
