I can't seem to get my Cush drive assembly on the wheel to seat flush against the sprocket side, I've got a uniform gap of about 1-2mm to entire way around.

I removed the Cush rubbers, cleaned and added a small thin coat of lithium grease, reassembled the drive with a custom made spanner applied as much torque as felt "safe". Everything is seated properly in the drive as near as I can tell. It's a damn tough set up to manipulate with worn out hands. Thank god for the lift.

Any thoughts here folks? Am I forgetting something? Spacer flipped around the wrong way or something stupid maybe?

I think there is supposed to be a small gap between the sprocket and the cush hub. At least that's what I was told when I mentioned mine was the same as yours.

Here is a pic of mine

Rusty Bucket,
If this is the gap you are talking about it is normal. FWIW I try not to use any type of petroleum based grease on rubber. Silicone grease or Red rubber grease (vegetable based) might be a better choice.

As long as the sprocket 'paddles' are correctly located in the 06-6232 'drive centre' slots then it's normal and nothing to worry about. :)
