Daft question I'm probably going to regret asking but here goes - Any relevance ref the t being crossed by the sweep from the N only, as on tank, seat etc. or seperately as on the engine? 2019 961!

The engine style is the same as the original Commando and most earlier Nortons. The tank etc is the new style developed during the Garner years, presumably so they could control the use of the new logo on licensed product.

The two were different up until around the final SG production year, where engine case suppliers were changed. At this point they made a few minor changes to the cases along with updating the timing chain case Norton font to match that of the tank. TVS have again changed the font, its now looks more modern especially with the change of the R, but to me it does hint towards one of Triumphs logos with respect to the bottom of some of the letters.
