Crankshaft Volume - Balancing

Don't know the exact volume, but years ago I had quite a few cranks balanced by Ditronic here in SoCal, and they used 50 g as the weight of the oil for a stock crankshaft. For the one-piece Nourish crankshafts the oil weight varied from 10 g to 17 g. For stock crankshaft halves and a custom steel flywheel, they used 45 g. They measured the weight of oil in the various crankshafts to come up with these values.

D/t round and rounds in '00 with Zint at Linskogs over Ms Peel I know this one.

Removing crank cavity oil from equation raises the BF %...so
If Dry BF = 55% then Wet BF will = 51% actually running with oil.
So oil wt in a Norton crank moves BF ~4% down from what ever
it was set to dry in shop.
750's = 54% dry > 50% wet.
850's = 52% dry > 48% wet.

Hey there Builder, I'm no expert but this was on JS Motorsports web site. "Example: Carrillo rod big end = 371 grams X 2 cylinders = 742 big end weight plus 50 grams for oil in crank = 792" soooo...... 50 grams of oil. Better to check out his website. Cj
