Thanks for the quick and well reasoned reply - you're right about pressure differential across the separator. Room for more thought by me there!
I like your scrubber cartridge. I did something not too different on the single. I welded a tower, 30mm ID, with a "floor" plate in it that I drilled 3mm perforations all over, This floor stopped my chosen scrubbing media (stainless steel ribbon type kitchen scouring pad) from falling into the tank. I've got a screwed alloy cap with seal on top and the atmospheric venting hose connected just below that. My thoughts at the time were that oil mist would condense on the scourer and drip back into the tank leaving cleaner air venting to atmosphere.
I'll run my rethought plumbing past you when I have time to nut it out.
