Crankcase breather

Looking for advice on the routing of the crankcase breather on my 68 N15CS. The previous owner put in a T fitting with one side going to the oil tank and the other going down the rear fender to vent. After a long ride I find the back side of the bike and my back side covered in oil spots.

I probably have some blow by the rings but its not smoking badly. Certainly not enough to take it apart. Can I remove the T and go straight to the oil tank or will this pressurize the tank and cause other problems?

For future reference to other people who think they have breather issues... I drained 700ml of oil from the sump. That oil was trying to escape any way that it could. I'm now looking into oil pump issues. I had oil returning to the tank, just not fast enough.
 
Had a local club guy with a similar problem on his combat. I suggested a bad oil pump. He sent it to me and I put it on both of my test rigs and lo and behold it would not even keep my test rig sump empty. Bad bad bad.
Usually we worry more about the feed side, but for all the garbage a combat pump scavenge side must pass with no filter, the scavenge side can also suffer.
suggested a new pump and now all is well. No more smoke and only a small amount of oil when draining the sump. No report of massive wet sumping either ...yet
