Cozy sidecar on a Triumph T-Bird triple

Quick exercise in toe-in setup, I'm starting with 1/2" IN from back of rim to front of rim. The bike is parked centered on the slab expansion joint. Level is placed appropriately to achieve 1/2" toe-in. Here you can see it had to come out quite a bit in front.

Now THAT'S better!

After re-checking all hardware was fully tight, I took the bike for a spin. The sidecar alignment will need further adjustment, but it didn't behave badly at all!

The bike DID behave badly. VERY badly...

As I returned to the barndo, it all of a sudden it started puking oil; I shut it off as soon as I spotted it. NOW what????? Couldn't see anything nasty, the engine was not knocking or rattling, it just started puking...

Turned out to be an easy fix - fuel tap was left on, and a float stuck. Flooded the engine with fuel, puked it out the breather pipe.

I did a double flush with new oil filter and all is well.

Removing the sidecar to work on it took exactly 8 minutes, almost to the SECOND. Not bad!

Now, PUTTING IT BACK ON, that was different story! After almost having it done, I realized I forgot the spacer at the top front mount! ARGH! 35 minutes total. I could have done it under 20.

The test ride went GREAT! Got it up to 65 with ZERO shimmy, no "fighting" me. Just tooling along smartly. LOVE IT!!!
