What is the correct balance factor for a MK3? I have the factory manual sppecs but for some reason years ago I marked it as incorrect. I think the two specs for wet and dry were flopped but I want to make sure. I have asked around and no one really wants to commit to a hard and fast number. I am fine with the stock balance factor for everyday riding. What is the DRY factor?

yes I agree , some Norton manuals are confusing and mixed wet and dry , asI am a bit dislexic, and my memory failed more and more , I have to check every time which way is good (just because now , I need to balance my Nourrish crank with Madass rods for a cdo iso lastic..........o_O!!!), and find the correct bob weight, so should measure it dry or wet ??, for you , I cannot find right now the answer , but Comstock had test an MK3 crank to find a slightly lower BF than announced by factory..........!! so he will chime , may be to help you , on your way .......!

I am not sure what people refer to as wet or dry balance factor.

I would add 100% of the rotating weight plus 52 to 55% of the reciprocating plus 150 grams for the weight of the oil that is not there, split it into two bobweights and balance it. Jim
