Presently have the lucas 700p, ammeter with two warning lights and light switch, is this the correct on for my bike ?, if so what does the second warning light indicate ?, first one is for Hi beam ?.

I'm pretty sure the 70 had only the ammeter, the 3-way switch behind it and the hi/lo beam indicator on the left side. My original is marked 700P also and is like that. You cannot find them, I looked all over. RGM has one with just the ammeter hole and you can cut in the switch D hole and the indicator lamp hole. At least that's what I did, and their price is real good. Only trouble is it is slightly smaller (imperceptible except to me) and the thread for mounting is 5/16 UNF, not CEI, so you will have to get new mounting bolts. Get the bolts about 1/4" longer than the originals to make installation easier. Otherwise just have a dummy lamp on the RS or use it for something else, like a battery monitor and get one with 4 holes. Depends on how original you want it to look.

My 1970 is the same as Dave's. It has the 700P three hole light shell. One for ammeter, D hole for three way toggle under ammeter hole and one hole to left for hi-beam indicator light (red) to left of ammeter.

I got a good used one from Fair Spares America, might wanna give him an email if ur after an original.
