Where does everyone get those great Conrad sleeves I see here and in the Mick Hemmings video?

Thanks,

Ben

You can use pipe insulation, or go down to your local bearing factor and blag some waste packaging.

Google Nylon packing sleeve

A couple paper towel roll centers, or a few toilet paper roll centers will work, but actual planning ahead is required.

Bubble wrap with a few cable ties or tape, anything you have laying around that can be used, dunny roll centres work good, no need to buy anything special to protect your rods.

It's more common than you think, any decent packing supplier should have it, just ask for Netlon protective sleeving. It is recognised and generally called Netlon who used to make it.

I use the paper core from a roll of TP. Wrap the rod with a shop towel and slide the TP roll over it. For some reason I never seem to run out of them!

Seems like these will be the least costly of my specialty tools. If only TP tubes could be used to measure crank runout.
