I plan at some stage to fit 2 conical air filters, so what is the best option for oil tank vapor/crankcase venting
Atmosphere?

Crankcase to oil tank, oil tank to atmosphere.

If a reed valve breather is fitted, there is remarkably little back and forth gas passage out of the tank breather pipe.
