I know there's a remembrance section on Access Norton, but this is more 961 direct.
Tab ii Classics, Mark Purslow, the guy working behind the scenes on the recent 961 aluminium tanks, has very tragically lost his life at this years TT.
Obviously their lives are now on hold following this tragic event, so please bare with them if you have a tank on order.
My sincerest condolences go out to Marks family and friends.
Rest in peace, Mark Purslow.

Thanks for posting Stu. I had read about the accident this morning but didn't know the connection. Very sad news indeed.

How horrible. Going out performing his passion. May he Rest in Peace.:(
I feel this way every time I read something like this. There is a line from a movie about its better to go out like that than going out in an old folks home or something like that. Anyways my point is that he was doing something he loves and while super tragic it should make people smile to know he was doing what he loved to do.

Just six weeks ago he was round mine, we were trial fitting a tank to a 961. Had a good 2hr convo with him, car and bike related. Really sound young man, would have easily enjoyed a few beers down town with him, instantly likeable. Was going to show my face at his race truck next week and wish him the best.

Yep, thanks for posting Stu. The Island can be really mean.

I received a heartfelt apology from his family today apologizing for any delays of manufacturing. The family member are going to train in welding and have no idea when manufacturing will resume. Really, no apologies are required when such grief has been laid upon this tight knit family. Yet, they will try. All the best to them.
