Hi , has anyone got any advice about the best way to polish tiny marks and nicks from the surface of my corod. I have access to a pedestal buffing machine but would this be too severe? Thanks in anticipation.

Con rod advice

Elbow grease. Start with a file, 120 grit, 240, etc. until 1000 or 1200 rubbing in line with rod. Then polish.

Personally I use a fine "wet n dry" and when the damage has almost gone, I use finer and finer wet n dry i.e. 1000 grade or finer before polishing with solvol autosol and then a quick tickle on the buffing machine.

Works for me. (Up to now).

Mmmm! Solvol, the saviour of many a bikepolisher, me!
Alright until your mate comes in wearing his clodhoppers & treads on the tube. Dun 'ave shoot a long way.

Bloody hell!
Just looked at my photo. Is it really 4 years since I last did that motor? Where is the time going?
