I liked Combat Composite gaskets best but the originals I found installed decades prior and spares 15 yr ago had robust steel rim while the newest ones only folded foil I've had blow out through oil drain area almost burning up me/bike by hot jets directly into factory fuel hose. Shut down parked found only paper thin layer left only saved by cold fuel sparing us a few seconds longer.

So what the feedback on composite gaskets nowadays?

Recently installed composite from Fair Spares in Los Osos doin fine so far...

I have only ever used AN supplied composite gaskets on mine thus far. I’ve not had so much as a weep.

I use the AN composite head gaskets in my race bike, higher CR and seeing 6500 to 7000 rpm during races, seals good and no weeping.
2 x retorques after initial installation of the head.

Had three seasons of racing before I had to strip the motor, HG was still oil and gas tight.

Alrighty Brooking happy to learn your harsh testing success of AN composite, so will try theirs as Combats ain't quite right w/o em. Its for factory '72 Trixie not my special which has JMS copper foil slim jims.
