Hi all roadburning Norton riders!
I bought a set of soft saddlebags in a silver with black trim at a dealer that fit the Commando perfectly. Jerry asked that I post a notice about them. He said he would post a picture. They were about $180 but the dealer gave me a price of $158 just by asking if they could do any better. The quality is very good with a storm flap over the zipper and double way zippers. Padded shoulder strap and bungees and rain covers included. They had reflective material in the side design and they also expand when a second zipper is utilized. They attach with 3 wide velcro straps which I enclosed using soft seatbelt protectors from Walmart. They fit perfectly. They will require a bag stay. Mine are chrome purchased from a Yamaha dealer. With all the cruisers out there they should be easy to find. You might also want to stiffen them with a plexi plastic piece inside. They have storage sections inside for some small items and pen holders. also a velccro covered pocket. These clear my peashooters by at least 3-4 inches. They are angled to fit the sporty lines of a Commando and although not large will serve to hold raingear gloves sweater or small purchses. maybe even a jacket if no too bulky.
I am new to this list. I am the tomato man on the INOA LIST. I ride a CNW 74 black and silver roadster and have a couple of Triumphs 71 and 79. I will ride anything that is fun and have no prejudgements where wheels go. I would love to get my hands on a Carver! I live in Pgh Pa.
