Not to change subjects dramatically but I have a NOS gas tank in the red & silver but a green tail section(nasty shade of green,etc.) that needs a repaint. Has anyone done this and if so do they have any suggestions on paint?

Phuc I hate that, they say it's an auction and I will let the market set the price, yeh right, put the bloody start price up by the reserve, or don't have a reserve and let the market set the price, as soon as some one pays that for a commando the markets stuffed, aus$ is higher than us$, its not as if they are rare, you can still buy 'genuine' parts to build a new bike.

Sure can;- and the Norvil Shop in the UK is proof. They list variants and packages of new ~ build bikes ~~ and the price is not unrealistic ~ I was tempted when I first got into buying a Commando but the AUD V GBP was not real flash then !

In fact I think I would buy one of theirs rather than an unknown quantity bike for $16K.. In fact they used to have an agent in Sydney ~ not sure if that stil stands though!
