Hi
I have brought a 1972 Commando and am trying to work out how the bottom rear mudguard mounts up.
I have the plate with 2 x 5/16" and 1 x 3/8" holes item 31, Pt# 062169 "Fender Stay Bracket" but the holes don't line up with the mudguard although the horn mount holes appear too line up with the holes in the mudguard?
Can any one help?
Best Regards
Mark

Only one hole (3/8") of the 062169 bracket should line up with the guard, are you sure you have it positioned correctly (with the 062170 spacers between the plate and frame)?

The two 1/4" horn bracket mounting bolts also double-up as the mudguard mounts.

Hi
I will shoot back to the shed and have a better look at the bracket and mudguard and see if I can match up with the photos.
Thanks

All good now didn't look hard enough thanks again I will now fit it all up.

Best regards

Just in case you were wondering, the two additional 1/4" mudguard retaining lock nuts (and washers) are part of the horn bracket assembly (drawn facing in the wrong direction) in Group 25 of the '72 parts book (items "51" & "49") .
