Hi All,

I finally managed to remove the pistons from my totally seized cylinder block. I tried WD40, vinegar, heating in the oven to 220 degrees C (wife not pleased), but in the end I had to beat them out. The pistons now are scrap and the block has a split skirt (spigot). Is it possible/recommended to bore out and have these re-lined or should I just go for a replacement?

Any thoughts?

Geoff.

L. A. sleave in Los Angles Calf. can provide good cast iron sleaves for the jugs. The closest two cycle repair shop will have the experiance to install them. If you are running a 750 it's a good time to consider upgrading to a thru bolt set up like 850's. norbsa
