Pretty interesting, when I got her she was all stock- I think I've made quite a change here!
Had a little drag race with a HD sportster yesterday, and the Norton handed the HD a whoopin' haha. He must have been embarrassed, since he turned off abruptly after I passed him.

Here are the pictures, Enjoy!

Owwww - Not much padding on that seat! Must be a young whippersnapper!

I tried to get my wife to let me paint my bike white and now she can see how good a norton can look when painted any color, even white. Great job!

Beautiful. And the a$$ whoopin' you gave to the HD made my day. I tend to prefer the more stock looking Commando's but your bike looks great. I agree with the others, the white really works well. Nice job.

Thanks everyone!
I'm having a great time with this bike.
I get questions about it every time I take her out for a spin. At stoplights, gas stations- everywhere!
Everybody seems to have a story about the snorton' Norton...

I'm going to wire up this little brake light soon, but for now I don't have one.
Managed to find a paint called "Wimbledon White" Looks pretty nice to me, so I used it on the seat and fender...And the seat I upholstered with a piece of leather my girlfriend had, and under it some surfboard padding. Works pretty nice, and really makes it handle terrific.
Now I just need a couple new tires....

Wimbledon white was the staple Ford color throughout the '60s. Just enough color in it that dirt didn't show right away. All those hot Fords of the early-mid '60s - AFX Thunderbolts, '65 Shelby Mustangs, Nascar Galaxies, all came in Wimbledon white.

Huh, cool.
I used spray cans to paint the fender and seat, and that white matched perfectly with the tank and side covers.
Some wet sanding, and gloss top-coat and you would never know it was a few cans of $6 paint!

Where's the license plate? Are you legal running without lights? No flashers? I like the back end, looks nice without any mudguards.

Jean:
Waiting on the CHP to verify the VIN #'s, then I get a plate.
I use hand signals, but am going to fab up a small brake light.

snakehips: Don't like? More of a Leave it stock kinda guy?

Cheers,
Aydin
