I bought two heads of ebay in the last few years, one 850cc "half repaired" (meaing some welded ribs and bronze exh thread inserts done) which needed a bit of finishing but came out quite okay for 250EUR and a 750 Atlas head with no damage other than dirt and some corrosion for 100GBP. I got three more heads as well when I bought my lot of rotten bikes, all three are good except for one broken rib (and one being a little bit over-done in terms of polishing and skimming). These bikes cost roughly 1500USD each.
