Well, I was walking around the shop today and thinking I need to do a Christmas special. I know....a bit late but nevertheless

So I picked the Corbin seat

Normally $ 473.00 and now $ 399.00. Since I got a late start, this sale will last through the 31st of December

The seats are all black. Black Leather seat area. Black vinyl on the sides and tail.

I have about 7 in stock that can ship right away and any orders over those 7 will be shipped as soon as they are done and that is typically 4-6 weeks at this time of the year

2 ways to order:

1 - Go to the website and place the order. It will show it at full price when you check out but I will credit you the $ 74.00 discount right away
https://coloradonortonworks.net/corbin-gunfighter-seat-for-roadster-tank.html

2 - Email me at the shop at nortonworks@fone.net and order the seat that way

You can use any credit card or Paypal to pay for it

Thanks

Matt

Nice indeed Matt, I like the shape of these seats, and always wondered why they do not produce these for the Interstate models.

Anything’s possible if you speak to Matt.

Just depends how much you REALLY want one...

IIRC, Matt use to do an Interstate seat mod but found out there were enough differences in tank sizes that made a one seat fits all an issue.
I also believe that if you send him your tank he will have the seat altered to fit it.

Peter,

Deets is right. There is no std Interstate seat available from Corbin due to the many different sizes and shapes of tanks. I can make one though. I figured out a way to do it without having the actual tank in the shop but its still a custom made seat.

Matt did a custom Interstate Corbin for me and it’s bloody marvellous. Just wish I’d got the tank sorted and painted by now...!

does that mean stock interstate seats are ..year specific? what year(s) had the glass tank?

Don’t know the answer to that question. I just know that I read somewhere Matt was having fitment problems w/ Interstate tanks. I’m willing to bet it was either the shape of the front of a Corbin seat against the Interstate tank or more than likely Matt is more particular than Norton was, or both.

I think the stock seat foam will squish a lot, and / or have a gap that most folk won’t care about or notice.

I don’t think a Corbin is so forgiving, it’s not got the tolerance of a stock seat as it won’t squish, and a Corbin is supposed to sit snug up to the tank, so a gap would be more obvious (especially if you’ve just spent a few hundred $$ on it)!

Talk to Matt if you want an Interstate seat. He will explain what/how to measure so he can modify the seat to fit. No need to send the tank to him. Apparently the 'state tanks shape varied.

I know that even with my Roadster tank as far forward as it can go that my Corbin is VERY tight up against the tank. I've put a piece of 3m film on the tank to help protect the paint from abrasion as the Corbin is very rigid on the front "nose". Interstate seats are probably the same

While I haven't taken the time to see if the stock seats are any different, as Eddie mentions, the nose is quite large, soft and forgiving. If you look at a few different bikes you will see that on some the seat lays right against the tank and on others, there is a bit of a space between but due to the shape, it's not really noticeable

I have seen at least 5 different Interstate tanks. Length, width and volume can be different. Since the Corbin fastening system is rigid and doesn't allow for any adjustment, the fit is more critical. Due to the nose being quite thin where it meets the tank, any space there is very apparent and doesn't look right
