Clutch/ trans question

I got my engine running respectably and decided to take a short test spin yesterday. Clutch was a little "creepy" no big deal. Had to shut off the bike to get it back out of fourth. Had an appointment, so I went to put the bike away. Started it, dumped into gear, and suddenly it lunged and stalled without me ever releasing the clutch lever. Checked into it today and found that the clutch operation is fine. I pulled the clutch pack apart, all is fine.Reassembeled and adjusted again. everything as it should be. I can pull in the clutch lever and free kick it in neutral(clutch slips, engine doesn't turn) but as soon as any gear is selected, the clutch is rendered useless. The first couple of tries, it would slip as it should but now, nothing but instant direct drive. Any Thoughts?

2 things off the top of my is either a grooved clutch center or a sheered clutch locating clip behind the hub.
