Probably a dumb question but is the clutch centre the same on chain drive and belt drive? Also some old posts mentioned hardened and non hardened centres, who is the best supplier of hardened centres? or are they all like this now.
 
Clutch centre - Hardened. Good supplier

Clubman racing.com is where I bought mine from. Best price and it was hardened. You may find a good used one on ebay however you do not know if it is hardened or not.

Andover Norton, RGM or Mick Hemmings should supply the hardened centre. Beware of cheap suppliers as its cheaper not to harden them so what looks like a bargain price might be a cheaper none harden part.
Mine came from RGM (as part of belt drive kit but is sold separately) the blue tempering lines of the heat treatment process can clearly be seen on the splines that engage with the clutch plates.
