Climate protesters

It'll all get fixed when the sun collapses in on itself. Might take a while.

In the meantime, humans aware that the climate is changing will be busy whining and working on solutions that won't change a thing over the long haul. Sort of like fixing homelessness, now referred to as "the unhoused."

I'm apathetic and have no dog in any fight, so bring it.

I believe there is climate change, BUT why do we have to be the poster child, when clearly India , China and most of the southern hemisphere clearly don't care. And the UN can't change them. So we have to over react to correct the world's problem!!??

Easy.

Because per head of population the USA is in the top 10 polluters.

Secondly the USA has the biggest research and industrial capacity to find solutions.

If the USA wants to be the only super power and very strongly control industry and economies all sound the world it comes with obligations.

There's no free ride.

And I'm not sure that it is true to say the USA is the poster child. It's actually far from a world leader in this areas. European countries are far ahead with finding solutions. The USA is actually getting a free ride from other nations. My own country New Zealand is also very poor.

But my comment wasn't actually about who to blame or even about solutions.

I was just pointing out that the problem is real.

The point of this is not about whether climate change is real or not
It's about the manor of protest
I was replying to the post about climate brainwashing.

I agreed the method of protesting was unhelpful and counter-productive.
