Sunny and 60 yesterday... you could hear the racket in the air. The motorcycles were out. Emerging from dormancy just like cicadas, and I'm proud to say; this year I was one of them! My Dad recently signed over the title of his 75 Norton Commando to me. I've been picking his brain every time I see him and learning the ins and outs of bike maintanance. He really likes talking about his adventures had on that bike too.
So after a few weeks of looking at it, swapping the plugs and getting a new battery, it was time to give it a shot. It fired up on the first try. (I wasn't expecting that... It hadn't been started in probably 15-20 years!) Scared the crap outta me to be honest, I was expecting a struggle.
BUT, IT LIVES!!!!! I rode it! Woo-hoo! I haven't ridden on that bike since I was like 7 years old and hanging onto my Dad. It was great just to hear it run again. He really took super care of it.
