I'll admit I'm a bit of a tool guy, (although some would leave out the "guy" bit :p ) so I was thinking of buying the Andover tool roll for my bike, part No. 06-7268. It's pretty exxy at about A$100.00 plus postage, but it does look sweet, and should save me from being caught out in an embarassing situation.

Any opinions, experiences, or alternatives??

+1 also curious :D .... the wrenches look as if they might "open up" on a tight nut or bolt.

That looks like the kit supplied with a new bike, back in the day.
It will get basic maintenance work done.

I suggest supplementing with a proper spark plug socket and ratchet handle, 3/16W,1/4W, 5/16W sockets and combination box/open end wrenches, and better flat blade and cross head screwdrivers. A couple of quality adjustable crescent wrenches too.
And a clutch spring compressor tool.

And more and more...

The rear shock adjusting tool has a bump on the handle that is supposed to fit the chaincase plugs. (Original was the same.) This never worked too well for me and I used the flat end of the shock tool turned with an adjustable wrench. This was before the special chaincase plug tools were around.
