I sure don't mind.

Welcome to the forum!

(don't hold your breath on the new Norton, you'll die)

Get a vintage bike and spend the 20 grand on it...no wait, get two vintage bikes and spend 10 grand on each. Or heck get three...

There is a nice '74 for in the classifieds right now for 5k...it won't last long!

As an owner of a 961
Take my advice and buy a CNW Norton it will tick all your boxes
Even if you have to pawn your granny
But as as a pawnbroker I couldn't realy recommend it
If I had a Pound for every man that asked me to take his wife
As surety, I could retire even sooner .

I'm sure CNW will build a bike for you in any style or fashion you like. Personally I don't care for the 'Harleyesque' look to the CNW typical models. Not to say they're not good bikes.

What sort of rideing do you go for ? .

You can get ' new ' replicer Manx and other chassis , and fit a ' new ' Commando powerplant , up to a Litre odd . :? The links here are an eye oppener .
Pays not to go to hairey , though . . . certainly blows the cobwebs out off the recesses of the mind , can require some attention whilst rideing . :p

Harleyesque?!!! Just because they don't put scrambler pipes on em? :p

No, it's the lowered rear and Corbin. Just not my preference.

Each to his own for sure. The CNW style is the most reliable up to date style Norton there is. For all the "Mustbeoriginalorelse." I applaud you for originality and the ability to wrench on the roadside.

CNW build # 61
*Not very "Harleyesque" I think.

G'day and welcome,from Oz, Ed.
Will be interested to see what you've got at home, and what, if anything, you procure.
AC.

Like Dave, I deeply respect what CNW does, and am glad they're here. at the same time, tax brackets outta my price range... my own philosophy is old school cafe with a few modern elements as well...

Nope, clipons, hump solo seat and ditch the bash plate. There's the problem - it's neither fish nor fowl.

G'day Ed.

I happen to like the CNW bikes. I think they are one of, if not they offer some of the most, if not thee most innovative, ingenious, progressive products and engineering that is available for Nortons. In my humble opinion they have designed and built many accesories and mechanical improvements that I feel would have been incorporated into Nortons or should have been, if they had not died in the mid seventies.

Things such as hydraulic clutch, fuel injection, modification to oil tank, improved braking components, among others.

While I am not in the economic category to take advantage of most of their products, If I were capable, I would have them build a bike for me in an instant.

I know that CNW can make any kind of bike you want, but why would you go to all the expense an not have them make you one of their signature bikes? I've seen a couple CNW bikes and they are spectacular. You can look at them for hours, it just goes on and on. My problem is that riding one would be like dating a woman that looks ten times better than me :D
This is what I was thinking about as far as flexibility goes. The core bike and their signature bike.

My wife spent the equivalent of 2 CNW bikes on the gardens around the house the last few years, and here I am spending 8K on my 69 and it still doesn't have a belt drive or Sparx alternator.
