I must have put the rear spindle into my 57 Dominator framed Triton with water on it, a couple of years ago. Changing the tyre again I found the spindle seized into the bearing spacer to a surprising degree. Nothing would move it last night, but maybe putting it into a sonic bath with vinegar helped, because it hammered out in the vice, quite easily tonight.

I'll be careful this time, when assembling.

I alway put a slite coat of grease on my spindle before I put it back in have never had any problems with it.

I just use nomal high temp grease, always have a tin of grease on my workshop bench, I always put grease on things that are weathered or moister can get in.
