Change the old electronic ignition

Hi All.
I wish to change the old Boyer I.E. with a new one.
What is the best and fast way to fit the new without to put the degree wheel on the crankshaft drive side?

Not wrong but old.
I can use the old on a mother bike.

Even if marked each time the trigger components taken out its takes some fine adjustments to get back the good timing with some trial error. Like the rest of us ya try set up first by static timing enough to start then either put time light on while blipping over 5000 or do like me adv tiny amounts till tends to back fire kicking then retard tiny amounts till it doesn't then put light on to say I did it by the manual.
