What,if any,is the difference between an x-ring and an o-ring chain?

O ring chain uses a conventional o ring to seal the lube inside the chain roller trapped between roller end and side plate this creates resistance

X ring seal is X shaped with two feather edges to form the seal reducing the resistance between roller and side plate

X ring are designed to run with lower drag coefficient between side plates and rollers than O ring
