In my search for parts I came across this center-stand and would like to know if it is correct for a 71 roadster? Will it fit as is or can it be modified to fit? I don't recall having such a large tab on the side of my center-stand.
If this is not correct what range of years will fit?

Thanks LAB,
for some reason I can pull up the photo both in the preview mode and from this post. I'll try to figure this out.

Without the photo can you tell me if side-stands are year specific?

I thought it was a centre/center stand?
 
There appear to have been at least five types of centre stand,

Frame mounted,
060589 ('68),
061116 ('69-'70)

Cradle mounted
062192 (71)
063501 (72-73)
064301 (73-on 850)
