Do any of you UK forum members live near Northgate Walsall WS9 8XV?

That's the listed address of Classicbritishmotorcycles. Still haven't received anything from the order I placed in November last year.

Nortoniggy, if you're ever passing there, could you call in to see what kind of operation they run, or if there is a shop there at all please?

In their defence, apparently the present owner took over the business after my order but has never made good. I'm only out £200, but it pisses me off no end.

CBM ??

Core blimey mate...

Commando broke me...

Can't buy money...

Come by Monday...

Chinese bionic man...

I'm thinking I haven't got it yet...!

Original poster edited and so CBM = Classicbritishmotorcycles (of course!)
Ta.

I dont live near there but put the post code into google maps and on street view looks like a typical suburban street, just houses so doesn't look very likely there is a shop or industrial unit

Thanks for the replies. No PayPal, it was a credit card transaction. The headers and stainless handlebars on my first MK3 were purchased from them 3 years ago and I wanted to get exactly the same for this bike. He says he has a set of headers there but the e-mails are like Singh's, sporadic at best and mostly from a mobile device (Samsung phone).
Doesn't give me a lot of confidence, might have to make a trip to the UK, need to get some parts for my race car anyway. :(

A few months ago I was after a new starter for my Mk.3 , anyway, someone had posted on NOC website about CBM having a limited number of new starters (I don't know what type) at a really good price , a couple of guys bought them at the various UK shows and were apparently very happy . But , the only details to contact them were a mobile phone number so I declined to get involved.
Hope it works out for you.

I really should be working, but...
If you type the postcode WS9 8XV into Google Maps info for CBM appears together with a map of the general area.
If you try & plan a route to WS9 8XV the full postcode is not recognized (Google/Multimap/ViaMichelin), WS9 is recognized.
I took a Google stroll along Northgate, it's a longish road, first half residential then changes to industrial units, no obvious motorcycle parts suppliers to be seen
UK telephone numbers that start with 07 are all mobile(cell) phones.

Good luck (I think I'll be sticking with my usual suppliers!)

I have used them twice....

Once they "sent" me a part that never arrived...i hassled for about 4-6 months and was then sent a generic fork stanchion that was completely the wrong size. When I complained, they insisted my bike was unusual for a P11. I showed them the correct measurements and the part that they sent me, silence....

The second time (I am a slow learner - or perhaps wrote the first one off to genuine error) - I was trying to get a set of engine bolts for my P11 and they had a listing. They never arrived, I chased for over 6 months....no luck. Occassional replies but always excuses.
I gave up as it wasn't worth the effort in trying to get my money back (as I am based in Australia - if I was UK based, I would consider kicking up more of a fuss). I posted about the experience in another section of this forum.

In my view, DO NOT use them.

I have a better address for them from a business directory. It's a small road off Northgate and I looked at it on Google earth. No obvious sign of them but Google's details are often out of date and no way to tell how long they may or may not have been there. Their website certainly shows a huge range of stuff that they supposedly sell. If it is a scam they've taken a lot of trouble which to me suggests incompetence rather than attempted fraud.

The phone number on their website (0121-270-7107) is a Birmingham phone number. A phone number for Aldridge, where they're supposed to be, would start 01922. I took a punt and phoned the 0121 number, it was answered and I asked for their address. The guy said it was in Bradford, Yorkshire. I said i thought it was Aldridge and as I was local I was thinking of coming for a look. He said it was Aldridge but they are in the process of moving to Bradford.

I'm not going to be able to help you if they're in Bradford I'm afraid. You could try ringing the 0121 number while it still works.
