Comparison between Gold Valve emulators and Sports valve emulators on a BMW. Some relevance for Norton forks.

Think I might try sleeving the Gold Valve emulator and installing a sealing ring. Wonder about a good material to use for a seal?

Thats my post on ADV Rider.
I rode the R90s to the Burt Munro Rally ( about 3000 kms).
I fitted the Sports Valves and a set of .66kg/mm Sonic fork springs as well.
Before I went purchased a set of new shocks from the Shock Factory.http://www.shock-factory.co.uk/2winshocks.html

The shocks are great, good value for money.
Front damping is improved but i think the spring rate may be a touch high.
Ride is on the firm side and handling is excellent.
I modified the bar clamps so they can be loosened easily, the fork caps taken off and the tool inserted for quick adjustment. Takes about 10 minutes to alter rebound and damping.

The track BMW is a great bike to ride, very stable at all speeds. Rode it on a back country road once....far to firm for that.
