The slight tilt of the Atlas / P11 carb has the effect of lowering the level of the spray tube very slightly. This has the same effect as raising the float level by the same amount. The difference in height is negligible.
The manifolds for the Atlas / P11 differ from the Commando ones as the Commando engine is tilted forward and , I assume, the downdraught would have been too great if the Atlas / P11 straight manifolds had been used.
