Carbon Wheels

Still not sure about the wheels Raphi, actually I’m still thinking of sticking with the alloys, I’m sorry to say!

I’m going to the NEC show this week here in the U.K. where I’ll be able to get up close and personal with the bikes. I intend to decide on the wheels there.

By the way, calling you all bastards was meant only “in the best possible taste”... (said in my best Kenny Everett “Cupid Stunt” voice)...

Anniversary CR.
How did you enjoy the show? Seemed to be a lot of interest on the Norton stand - it was interesting to listen to the very polarised views of the metalflake finish. Have you made the correct decision on the wheels yet? ;)

Take a look at the little ccm cafe racer. For 10k it's really cute although in a very pre-production state.

Regards Clive

Yes, CCM are doing some interesting stuff these days. I’m just over 6ft though, so I think they’re a bit small for me.

So... what Morgan do you have...?

1977 4/4 1600 kent engine. Next year no road tax or MOT Yahoo!!!! Just thinking about a repaint in the Norton Manx silver trim. Would look pretty good with the Norton on a trailer behind, although the Norton would probably pull the Morgan more effectively......

The Norton would look better being ridden...!

Gotta go Carbon Fibre wheels! I have the CR with wire wheels. Swapped for the Carbon Fibre. Massive difference, even for normal road riding. Much more flick-able with an overall feeling of a lighter more manouverable machine. Well worth the wonga!

People like you and Raphi are bad influences Steve...

Yesterday I thought f**k it, it’s only money, and despite preferring the aesthetics of the spoked wheels, I decided to go for carbon.

Only to be informed that Norton are still waiting for BST to design wheels suitable for the ABS bikes, so they’re currently not available for new bikes!

So, spokes it is !

Pity that they don’t fit the new bikes...
But spokes look great, you’re right about this, only cleaning is a bit more work.

Carbon Wheels
Are matte finish carbon fiber wheels available?
On my SF I like the black aluminum wheels. But on my Dominator Naked with the matte finish carbon fiber pieces I’d like to swap to carbon fiber wheels only if a matte finish is available.

Does your Dommie have ABS? If so there are no Carbon wheels available for it currently.

If it does not have ABS, I would contact the factory as I’m sure they could get Matt wheels for you. They’ll probably be a special order from BST though, so might take a while.

Unless you sprayed them in Matt clear coat yourself?

Nope my Dominator Naked is a 2016 so no ABS.
