My 72'Roadster has Amal carbs on it with the markings R 932, with 26 marked below.

What do these number denote - I assume R is for Roadster?

Thanks.

R is for Right, 9 is for 900 series, 32 is for 32 mm bore, 26 is the build number and in the amal lists it would show the jets fitted at the factory (which may not be the ones fitted now). One of your carbs should have an L instead of the R or you will find access to the tickler and adjustment screws difficult if not impossible.

26 is the build number for the R/H (R932/26) carb, although the matching L/H carb build number should be 27 (L932/27).

Thank you gentlemen, that's the info I wanted. The LH carb is #27 so I guess these are originals.
