Canadian Mk 111 master switch upgrade.

I was looking for a MK3 Canadian switch but couldn't source one anywhere.
Got in touch with Norvil and bought
a regular non Canadian model switch with a diode jumper between terminals 2 and 3.
Les at Norvil made it up for me.
Cheers

The diode allows voltage to flow in
one direction so that there is power to terminal 3 from terminal 2 in the first on position to the right.
In the park position turning the key to the left, no voltage would pass from position 3 to position 2 as the diode only allows voltage to flow one way.
If you just used a piece of wire for a jumper, terminal 2 would have voltage in the park position and the bike would have ignition power.
Cheers

The diode is a Lucas part from an MG I think.
I'll get the part number and post it here.
Cheers.

The Lucas diode has the numbers
LD 953048 on one side and 9501
and 832258 or 83225B on the other side.
The switch has the Lucas part number 30552.
Cheers.
